
American actor Thomas William Selleck. His breakthrough role was as Thomas Magnum (private investigator) in Magnum. (1980-1988), where he was nominated for five times for the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead actor in a Drama Series. He won in 1985. Since the year 2010, Selleck has been a co-star as New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan in the series Blue Bloods. Since 2005 his role was as the troubled police chief of a small town Jesse Stone in nine television films inspired by the Robert B. Parker novels.In films, Selleck has played bachelor architect Peter Mitchell in Three Men and a Baby (1987) and its sequel Three Men and a Little Lady (1990). From the time of Magnum, P.I., the actor has appeared in more than 50 roles on television and film, including films Quigley Down Under, Mr. Baseball and Lassiter. He was a frequent TV actor playing Monica Geller's lover, Dr. Richard Burke, on Friends; Lance White, the charming and naive lover, in The Rockford Files; and A.J., casino owner. Cooper in Las Vegas.
